Seven teams gathered for Sectional competition on February 2, including Sigourney as the host school with hopes of advancing several wrestlers to the following weekend. Behind the back from their home fans, the Savages were able to advance Mason Dye and Trent Hendricks to Districts, one step away from making it to the State tournament. Summer Barthelman was the latest Sigourney athlete to make her post-high school decision, signing her official letter of intent on November 14 to run track at Hawkeye Community College.
