Bears excel on Panther track

Packwood – Like most other teams competing at the Panther Relays on April 15, English Valleys moved around some athletes to find who fits where best. For the most part, several rain in their regular events and are focusing on dropping their times with one week left until the SICL meet.

A lot of familiar faces continue to lead their team in their respected events including Nolan Grove, Jacob Glandon and Luis Gonzalez. Glandon ran the second-best time in the 3200m run at 11:13.03 and finished third behind two Davis County distance runners in the 1600m run, clocking in at 5:16.74.

Off the track, Jacob Jackson put together another top-five finish in the shot put with a throw of 38’ to finish fifth.

English Valleys competed at BGM on April 16 and began their final week of the regular season at Belle Plaine on April 23.
