Both Tri-County girls and boys track squads in action at 2017 Lew Lundy Relays

MONTEZUMA- Tri-County had both their boys and girls track teams were in action Tuesday, April 18, at Montezuma High School for the 2017 Lew Lundy Relays. TC’s boys took home fourth place on the day, while the girls garnered sixth.

            On the girl’s side of things, Taylor Dowd earned the first points of the day with a sixth place finish in the 200 M dash. Hannah Miover took 11th in the 800 M run, with a time of 3:33.94. Miranda Little did very well at the discus, throwing a 86’3’’ discus to take third place and earn six team points. Little took ninth in the shot put with a 25’3’’ toss.

            TC’s girls ran well in the relay portion of the meet, taking fifth in the 4x200, as Riley Danner, Little, Hannah Miover and Sydney Gatton ran a 1:02.50 time. The Lady Trojans ran a 1:24.52 time in the 400 M shuttle hurdle relay with Danner, Dowd, Hannah and Emma Miover running a fourth place finish. Danner, Gatton, Dowd and Emma Miover took fourth in the 800-sprint medley relay as well. The Miovers, Gatton and Danner took sixth in the distance medley as well on the day.
