Tanner Adam, Senior, Pekin – Defensive MVP

Adam finished second in the district in tackles for loss, with 15. The senior outside linebacker added 78 total tackles and five sacks for the District Champion Panthers. Adam also averaged over ten yards per carry on offense, rushing for 949 yards and ten touchdowns, in addition to his 157 receiving yards.

Trever Northup, Sophomore, Pekin – Quarterback

Pekin’s first-year starting quarterback threw for 20 touchdowns and just one interception. The sophomore completed 73 of his 118 pass attempts, going for 1823 yards and ending the season with an astounding 245.9 quarterback rating. The dual-threat QB also rushed for 293 yards and nine touchdowns.
