County schools to share new Human Resource Director

Keokuk County school districts, including Pekin, Sigourney, Keota and English Valley have agreed to share a Human Resource Director between the four schools.

The schools will begin interviewing candidates for the positions on June 17, with the position beginning on August 1. English Valley School District will hold the contract with the new Human Resource Director, acting as their home office while the chosen candidate will act remotely to accommodate the other districts. According to English Valley Schools Superintendent Donita Joens, there is a need in the district for more help, especially with work related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
