Eagles Fall Short in Regional Opener
Despite having only four wins coming into last Tuesday’s first round Regional game against Keota, IMS had shown flashes of potential all season, including an 11-point loss to English Valleys and a four-point loss to Columbus. The Keota girls came in with nearly triple the numbers win, but it was evident early that IMS was going to be trouble.
IMS’s stingy defense was all over the Eagles for all of the first half, holding them to single digits in each of the first two periods and helping IMS take a 16-11 halftime lead.
IMS continued its excellent play in the early part of the second half and built a double-digit lead by the midway point of the third quarter.
