EV takes fourth at Pekin, Tri-Co finishes in fifth

PEKIN-The English Valleys Bears and Tri-County Trojan boys track teams were in action Monday, March 27 at Pekin High School for the Ruritan Relays. The Bears ended up taking fourth place in the B division with 59 total team points, while the Trojans finished in fifth place with 48 team points.

            Louis Gonzalez (7th) was just outside the team points scoring in the 100 M, as did Brandt Molyneux (9th) of TC and his teammate Lane Williams (10th), as did Jason Daughenbaugh (11th) of EV and Noah McCammant (12th) of TC. Sam Kingland of EV took fifth in the 200 M dash in a time of 26.66, while his teammate Caleb Peach took seventh.

            John Fisher ran well for the Bears in the 800 M to take fourth place, while TC’s Jason Williams and Brandon Clubb just finished outside the top six. EV’s Thomas Glandon ran away with the 1600 M with a time of 5:22.28 to take first place. Jacob Glandon took fourth place with a time of 5:33.77. TC’s Jason Williams just missed out on team points with a seventh place finish, only two seconds behind the sixth place finisher. TC’s Steven Estes finished eighth in the 3200 M with a time of 13:47.27.
