KCHC heads into busy summer of projects

Buildings and Grounds Head Casey Thompson outlined several significant improvement projects that will be taking place this summer at Keokuk County Health Center (KCHC) during a Board of Trustees meeting on Thursday, May 25.

The first of these improvements tentatively expected to begin in mid-June is the clinic’s roof, which is original to the building when it was added on in 1996. The project will address leaks in the roof and replace all the shingles. Kerr Construction was the lowest bidder at $48,600 and will give two day notice before beginning work, allowing staff and patients to be notified should entrances need to closed to remove the old shingles.
