Ladies Night Out in Sigourney

Sigourney - Keokuk County Ladies, the evening of October 25 is for you! Several businesses in Sigourney will be extending hours and offering in-house specials for a special Ladies Night Out shopping spree through Sigourney. In an effort to showcase the options available for style and sass right here in Sigourney, Amanda Snakenberg owner of Barn Wired, decided to organize a special night just for ladies to come check out what Sigourney has to offer. With several boutiques and shops now open, the need to travel out of town to find the latest styles and trends is no longer necessary.

Businesses that will participating in Ladies Night Out are: Marie Grace Photography, Myles Miller, Market on the Square, The News Review, The Garden gate, Moore Hair and Boutique, B’s Sweet Treats, Barn Wired, Antique Flea Market, Sigourney TV and Appliance, Brothers Market, Misc. on Main, The Thread Shop, and Amy’s Salon House & Boutique.

I decided this would be a perfect time for a style update myself, so I went on a bit of a pre-shopping spree around the town to let you know what to expect.

Starting at Market on the Square, a vendor store owned by Kim Reed, I immediately found the perfect cover-up to complete the outfit I wore when I attended the Dhoad Gypsies at the Fairfield Arts and Conventions Center last weekend. With Kim’s help, I also found the perfect new look from the broad spectrum of clothing available from a vendor from New Sharon. Reed said the clothing options rotate often so there’s usually something new to check out. Some of the vendors from Reed’s store will be refreshing their products for the Holidays, and some will be on-site for Ladies Night Out to help explain their products.

With the new clothes, I thought I needed a new look, so I put myself in a chair at Amy’s Salon House & Boutique and told her to do whatever she wanted. We decided to take about 5 inches off my length and add some fun color. I love the effect of the hombre and red she applied and I feel like a whole new me. Amy’s Salon also has several styles of clothes to choose from, so I did a bit of wardrobe refreshing there as well. Moore Hair and Boutique also has lots of the latest styles to choose from.

Misc on Main helped me out with my cellphone crisis, and I am now able to use my phone for work, rescuing animals, and normal life stuff. The variety of phone covers made sure I didn’t have to lose that new style thing I was shooting for.
