Ladies Night Out in Sigourney

Sigourney - Keokuk County Ladies, the evening of October 25 is for you! Several businesses in Sigourney will be extending their hours and offering in-house specials for a special Ladies Night Out shopping spree through Sigourney.

The evening is the brainchild of local businesswoman Amanda Snakenberg, owner of Barn Wired. Located on the south side of the square, Barn Wired is a coffee shop and café, but is also a vendor store with a large variety of products, from jewelry and accessories, to art, candles and décor.

Snakenberg planned the evening in order to showcase the growing business in Sigourney’s retail district. With several boutiques and shops now open, the need to travel out of town to find the latest styles and trends is no longer necessary.

The newest shop to open, Market on the Square, is also a vendor store, with products all from local vendors. From handmade crafts and Blonde Scents candles, to boutique clothing and designer dog collars, from Pup Trend, personalized mugs, and hand-knitted scrubbers, Kim Reed has brought the craft sale to a permanent location. On Ladies Night Out some of the vendors from Reed’s store will be in attendance to demonstrate their products.

Other local businesses involved in the Ladies Night Out include: Myles Miller, B’s Sweet Treats, Antique Flea Market, Sigourney TV and Appliance, The Thread Shop, The Garden Gate, Moore Hair Design, Marie Grace Photography, Amy’s House and Salon, Misc. on Main, Brothers Market, Fairfield Arts and Convention Center, and The News Review.

Please pick up your punch card at Marie Grace Photography. Fill it up by visiting all the local places, and you will be eligible for one of several grand prizes. The hours for Ladies Night Out will be 5:00-8:00 p.m.
