Lady Savages edge out Belle Plaine in 43-42 thriller Friday

SIGOURNEY-Autum Barthelman went off for the Lady Savages scoring 19 points on Friday, Jan. 20 as they hosted Belle Plaine. This was a strange game to say the least for Sigourney, as they jumped out to a ten point first quarter lead. They were up 20-13 at the half.

            In the third quarter, Belle Plaine went on a huge 18-1 run, ending the quarter up 31-21 on the Lady Savages. Sigourney, down double-digits in the fourth, had no panic in them, as they methodically made a comeback scoring 22 in the fourth including going 18 for 22 from the free throw line on the night as a team to ice away the game. Sigourney outscored BP 22-11 in the fourth to earn the 43-42 victory.
