Miranda Little finishes runner-up in Discus at Sigourney Relays

Tri-County competed at the Sigourney Relays on April 23, led by upperclassmen Miranda Little. She continued to be one of the best athletes in the Discus event, placing second.

Little earned all eight of Tri-County’s team points with her second-place finish, throwing for 109’-1.00” beating out third by nearly 10 feet. Mariah Little finished just shy of earning points in the Shot Put, throwing for 30’-3.00”, placing seventh and half an inch away from earning a team point.

Reace Thomas finished 13th in the 100m dash, running a time of 15.72 seconds, followed by running 33.70 seconds in the 200m dash, finishing 14th. Emma Miover was just shy of earning a team point, placing seventh in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:25.49.

Lauren Molyneux competed in the Discus, placing 15th at 65’-5.00” and finished 16th in the Shot Put with a throw of 23’-3.00”. Tri-County finished ninth in their lone relay (800m Sprint Medley) with Miranda, Mariah, Thomas and Miover combining for a time of 2:21.50.

The Lady Trojans ran at Waco on April 25, followed by a meet at Cardinal on April 26 and most recently ran at the SICL Meet on April 30 at North Mahaska.
