NR LOC Pekin summer school students gifted new bikes

           Summer school may be over for Pekin Elementary students, but two lucky winners will ride into fall with brand new bikes, donated by Walmart in Washington.

            The students spent part of their last day at summer school learning bike safety from school nurse Crystal Lamansky. Each and every child walked out with a brand new helmet, donated by the Iowa Department of Public Health. In addition, Pekin staff drew names for the two bikes, with Gia Pearce and Trison Dahlstrom winning the bikes.
