Several Pekin runners receive Conference honors

Several Pekin boys’ and girls’ cross country runners were named on First and Second All-Conference Teams, along with one Honorable Mention following the SEISC meet on October 4.

Remi Duwa: In her third season for the Panthers, Duwa proved to be dominant once again, finishing out at the State meet. Duwa had one of her best finishes of the year at the SEISC meet in which she finished third, running a time of 21:02.7.

By finishing in the top five, Duwa was named First-Team All-Conference. She went on to finish 16th at the State Qualifying Meet, advancing her onward after running a time of 22:33.45.
