Sigourney and Keota Fire Department Respond to Structure Fire

Wednesday, Nov. 19 there was a structure fire at the Huffman residence, at the corner of Highway 92 and 149. The residents went out to start a car that was in the garage. It would not start and backfired a couple of times. They went into the house and when they came out to leave they noticed the garage was on fire.  A structure response was called in to the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Department who then dispatched Sigourney Fire Department. Keota Fire was there for mutual aid with Keokuk County Ambulance and Sheriff's Office on scene to assist.
