Sigourney and Tri-Co. Go Down to the Wire

Don’t be fooled by their record; the Tri-County girls have real talent, and they’ve been causing real problems for opponents all season long.

                The latest example came last Friday when the Trojans played at Sigourney – a team with an impressive resume that includes wins over English Valleys and Belle Plaine.

                The Savages were coming off a hard-fought 58-52 loss three nights earlier at BGM, in which Jordan Carter put up 27 points and Anna Ohland & Brooke Waechter combined to grab 31 rebounds. The Trojans, on the other hand, were looking to bounce back from a 53-25 loss at Keota, after winning their first game of the season the week before.
