South English Teen accused of Sexual Abuse

SOUTH ENGLISH- An 18-year-old teenager is facing two sexual abuse charges after authorities say he abused two young girls. Bentley Patchric Sorden-Schott was arrested on May 8 and charged with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, Class B Felonies each punishable by up to 25 years in prison.

Criminal complaints filed in Keokuk County District Court accused Sorden-Schott of having inappropriate physical contact with two girls under the age of 12. One of the victims told authorities the contact happened two years ago and occurred twice, according to the complaints.

Sorden-Schott was arrested on May 8 and held on $50,000 cash only bail. On May 10 , Misty White, Sorden-Schott’s court appointed attorney, requested that he be released without bail, arguing that he is about to graduate high school and needs to be able to complete his school work.
