Tri-County improves, still takes loss to Melcher-Dallas

Tri-County scored a season high with a developing offense. The defense didn't have as much success,
giving up 64 points in the loss to Melcher-Dallas on Friday, Sept. 8.

Tegon Fogle continued to lead the offense with his arm, throwing for 142 yards and two touchdowns.
Fogle also rushed for a score, finishing with one yard on nine carries. He also contributed with 8.5
tackles on defense, seven solo.

The main target downfield was Cameron Krumm, who racked up 134 yards on three receptions, two of
which went for touchdowns. He also led the Trojans' ground game, rushing for 75 yards on 14 carries.
On the defensive side, he recorded seven solo tackles.

"Our passing game and protection improved," said Trojan coach Scott Edmundson. "Cameron had a
good night."

Though the defense continued to surrender points, several players stood out. In addition to Krumm and
Fogle, Brayden Monroe was a disruption for Melcher-Dallas.

Monroe finished with 12 tackles, nine solo and three that went for a loss of yards. He also picked off a
pass to cap off the night.

"Melcher took advantage of field position and turnovers early,"  Edmundson said. "Self-inflicted wounds
lead to big plays for them."

The Trojans will host Twin Cedars on Sept. 15, hoping to continue building on both sides of the ball.
