Tri-County royalty crowned during Homecoming Week

           Tri-County Boom Night had a variety of entertainment from the cheerleading routing, introduction of teams, songs from the band, as well as a staff dance, senior skit and a parent skit.

            Maybe the most talked about during any Homecoming week is that of the Homecoming Royalty.

            Crowned as Homecoming Queen was McKenzie Hammes. McKenzie is the daughter of Melissa and Michael Clarahan. Her siblings include Teresa Moore, Courtney Moore, Jake Moore, and Shell by Hammes. She also has two nieces Bryley and Kynsley. McKenzie's in school activities include Student Council 3 years, Speech and Drama 4 years, Band 4 years, Choir 3 years, Cheerleading 3 years, and National Honor Society. McKenzie's non school activities include volunteering and babysitting. Outside of school McKenzie enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on walks with my mom and sister, telling puns, and watching the Flash. After high School McKenzie plans to attend college and become a teacher.

           Escorting McKenzie was Homecoming King Cameron Krumm. Cameron is the son of David and Penny Krumm. Cameron has 2 older sisters, Katie who graduated in 2011 and Kristin who graduated in 2016. Cameron's in school activities include Football, Basketball, Track, Baseball, Speech and Drama, and FFA. Cameron's non school activity are church. Cameron's interests outside of school are playing with my dog Bella, hanging out with friends, and fishing. Cameron's plans are high school are to attend UNI or Iowa State University.

           The next member of the Queen Court was  Myrissa Garber. Myrissa is the daughter of Tristan Garber and Regina Garber. Myrissa has one older sister Megan and an older brother Mason. Myrissa has been involved in many activities during her time at Tri-County. Myrissa has been in FCCLA for 1 year, FFA for 4 years, Speech and Drama 4 years, Volleyball 4 years, Basketball 1 year, Softball 4 years, Wrestling Cheerleading 2 years, Football Cheerleading 4 years, Student Council 4 years, and National Honor Society 2 years. Outside of school Myrissa enjoys traveling, hanging out with friends, and eating everything in sight. After graduation Myrissa plans to finish her LPN through Indian Hills and transfer to the University of Iowa to obtain her RN degree and eventually obtain her CPN.

            Escorting Myrissa was member of King court, Dylan Seaton. Dylan is the son of Pat and Becky Seaton. Dylan has 2 younger sisters Mariah- a sophomore, and Hopea freshman, Dylan also has a younger brother Jeremiah who is in 7th grade. Dylan is involved in Football 4 years, Basketball 3 years, Track 3 years, and FFA 3 years. Outside of school he occasionally attends youth group. His interests outside of school include hunting, fishing, hanging out with friends, and mini golfing. After school Dylan plans to attend Iowa State University and major in Agronomy.

            The next member of Queen court was Allison Steinke. Allison is the daughter of Matthew and Greer Steinke. Allison is the youngest of four sisters- Gloria, Emily, and Natalie. In school she is involved in Cheerleading 3 years, Volleyball 3 years, Basketball 4 years, Track 3 years, FCCLA 1 year, FFA 4 years, Student Council 4 years, Band 4 years, Speech and Drama 4 years, N HS 2 years. Her non school activities are BASIC- Brothers and Sisters in Christ, which is a church youth group. Allison's interests outside of school

are hunting, fishing, and flying. Allison's future plans are to attend a 4 year college and earn a degree in Aeronautical Science and pursue and career in aviation.

Escorting Allison tonight was Austin Purdy. Austin is the son of Gary and Amanda Purdy. He has 2 siblings Madison is 14 and Skyler is 21. Austin's in school activities are football 4yrs, basketball 2 years, and track 2 years. Austin is employed at A &W. Outside of school Austin enjoys movies, the Flash, playing XBox, football, and hanging out with friends. After high school Austin is undecided about what to do.

            The next member of Queen court was Skyler Fisher. Skyler is the daughter of Coleen and Randy Fisher. She has 2 sisters-Amanda Snakenberg and Brittany Peterson. Skyler's in school activities include Basketball 4 years, Track 3 years, Softball 5 years, Cheerleading 3 years, Volleyball 2 years, Speech and Drama 4 years, FFA 4 years, Student Council 4 years, National Honor Society 2 years, Band 3 years, and FCCLA one year. Skyler's interest outside of school are cooking, and watching TV Series. Skyler's future plans are to attend Iowa State University and major in Marketing. Then attend DMACC to get a degree in Mortuary Science.

            Escorting Skyler was Noah McCammant. He is the son of AI and Mary McCammant. His brothers and sisters are; Andrea Dose who graduated in 1997, Johannah Nanke who graduated in 2006, Travis McCammant, and Angela Roberts who graduated in 2008. Noah's in school activities are Football 4 years, Baseball 1 year, FFA 4 years, Wresting 4 years, Track 3 years, and Speech and Drama 3 years. Noah is a member of the Iowa National Guard. Noah's interests outside of school are fishing, hunting, and working. After High school Noah plans to attend Iowa State University and major in Incontraction Engineer.

            The next member of Queen court was Riley Danner. Riley is the daughter of DJ Danner and Melissa Fairbank. Riley has 5 siblings Austin, Adam, Aniston, Ellie, and Carl. In school Riley is involved in Basketball 4 years, Volleyball 1 year, Softball 5 years, Track 4 years, Speech and Drama 4 years, and FFA 4 years. Riley's interests outside of school are hanging out with my friends and family, and watching the Hawkeyes. After high school Riley plants to attend UNI and major in marketing.

Escorting Riley was Cory Hughes. Cory is the son of Thomas Hudson and Doreen Hughes. Cory has 4 siblings. 2 older brothers Alex and Dakota, and 2 older sisters Shay and Kendra. Cory’s in school activities are Football 3 years, Basketball 4 years, and Track 1 year. Cory works at Neighbors Gas and Grill. Outside of school Cory enjoys playing basketball, mini putting, hanging out with his girlfriend, Taylor, and hanging with his friends. Cory is undecided about future plans but knows he wants to attend college and study something health related.
