Trojans toppled by Tigers in five innings

Tri-County got off to a good start against Iowa Valley but couldn’t hold off the comeback made by the Tigers in a 3-13 loss on June 18.

    The Trojans took an early lead at Iowa Valley with a couple runs in the top of the first, but their lead was halved going into the second inning. Iowa Valley scored another six runs in the bottom of the second to take the lead for good and score another five in the bottom of the third.

    Tri-County and Iowa Valley each scored a run in the fifth and final inning of play which ended up with a score of 3-13. Ty Moore returned after being cleated in the leg the week prior which pulled him from the game and required stitches. Cameron Krumm tweaked his ankle in a recent game and was held out of the game against the Tigers.

    Tri-County hosted Sigourney on June 21 before traveling to Belle Plaine on June 22 to end the week of play.
