Two local boys make SICL lists, six others receive honorable mentions

Though none of the teams made it past round two of Districts, Tri-County and Sigourney made the list with Cameron Krumm and Brady Powers for the boys’ SICL conference team. Numerous others made the list from Sigourney, Tri-County and English Valleys.

Cameron Krumm: Krumm was a force in the paint all season for the Tri-County Trojans, which led to multiple double-doubles. Krumm was the essential piece to keep the offense running, whether it be giving him the ball down low and letting him go to work or drawing more defenders to open his teammates. He ended up with 338 points on the season, averaging just over 16 points per game. Krumm led his team with 54 blocks 199 rebounds, while finishing with the second most assists (41) and steals (46).

Brady Powers: Brady Powers helped lead the Sigourney boys’ team to double digit wins, as he was one of the more efficient Savages on offense from in the paint and behind the arc. Powers finished his season with 270 points, averaging just under 12 points per game. He finished tied for the lead in assists (53) and had the most steals (52) and second most blocks (14). Powers also averaged just over three re
bounds per game and wound up with 71 rebounds on the season.

Honorable Mentions:

Dylan Seaton: Seaton was able to get over the century mark with 102 points, averaging just under five per game. He finished second on the team in rebounds with 116, only the second Trojan to grab more than 100 rebounds on the season. Seaton also had 10 steals and four blocks.

Brayden Monroe: In only his second season on the Trojan squad, Monroe played a pivotal position by directing the offense and doing a little bit of everything else to help his team win. He finished second in points with 203, averaging just shy of 10 points per game. Monroe led the team with 62 assists and 54 steals to go along with 50 rebounds on the season.

Spencer Magill: Magill proved he could be durable in different spots on the court, as well as dish off to open teammates to get assists. He finished with the second most points on the team with 229, averaging 10 points per game. He tied Powers for most assists on the team with 53, had the second most steals (35) and a team-high 22 blocks. Magill also tallied the second most rebounds on the team, ending up with 112.

Kyle Weber: Weber proved to be an important piece in the post position for the Savages throughout the season, as he was able to get his way to the bucket and muscle away rebounds. He finished with the third most points for Sigourney, ending up with 125 points. He led the team in rebounding with 119, averaging just over five per game.

Braydon Fisher: Fisher was one of two seniors who suited up for the English Valleys Bears this past season. He was field general on the floor and led the team in scoring with 136 points, averaging just over six points per game. He also proved his durability by leading the team with 29 assists and tied the lead with 30 steals.

Clayton Moore: Moore finished his junior season with the third most points for English Valleys, posting 66 points and led the team with 118 rebounds, averaging just over five per game. Moore also had the third most steals (10) and assists (10).

Golden Award – Dustin Haines: Haines had a setback when he was out for two months with a broken hand. In the eight games that he did play he racked up 83 points, shooting over 30 percent from beyond the arc. He also had the fourth most assists (25), fourth most in steals (11) and 38 rebounds, averaging the second most rebounds per game on the team.
