Weber named to State 4-H Council

Audra Weber of rural Sigourney has formally been selected to represent southeast Iowa on the State 4-H Council for the next year during the State 4-H Conference, which took place June 27 through June 29.

Weber, a member of the local Stick-To-It 4-H Club, will join more than 40 other 4-H members across the state as part of the State 4-H Council, with Weber specifically working as part of the Marketing sub-committee. In her role, she will help create pamphlets, news items to get people involved in 4-H. Weber will also serve as a 4-H ambassador for Iowa, Wapello and Keokuk Counties and attend county fairs in her new position.

“It blew my mind when I found out,” Weber said. “My mom called me back in May to tell me I had mail. I told her to open it and she told me I was selected.  It was one of those ‘pinch myself’ moments. I feel this is more about me though and an extreme honor.”
