What is going on with the Fountain?

As many of the local residents are aware, the Fountain in the Courthouse yard was not in working order this summer. This historical monument is something that community members look forward to every year. There have been several concerns that the Fountain would never be in working order again. A Fountain Committee has been established with the goal of having the Fountain in working condition for next summer. The committee has been working hard to make decisions and come up with fundraising ideas to raise money for the repairs and upkeep.

            The mechanism on the inside of the fountain that makes it work has to be replaced and there is heavy build up on the outside of the fountain that needs to be removed. The committee has been in contact with a contractor that is going to do the repairs needed for the inside of the fountain. The committee has also been in contact with contractors regarding the maintenance and clean up on the outside of the Fountain.
