Area closings

Schools:

Sigourney, Tri-County, English Valley, Pekin, North Mahaska and Keota- closed for four weeks. Classes will resume on April 13. No activities until classes resume.

Keokuk County Courthouse:

County Assessor- closed to public but working daily until further notice.

County Attorney- closed to public but working daily until further notice.

County Auditor- closed to public but working daily until further notice. Candidate who wish to file nomination petitions for county office can still file, but need to call ahead.

County Engineer- closed to public but working daily until further notice.

County Supervisors- meetings will still be held regularly at 8:30 a.m. on Mondays.

Clerk of court- open to public on a limited basis for court related services. Drop box available by east entrance for court related documents/payments.

Community services- closed to public but working daily until further notice.

Conservation department- staff working daily until further notice. Enforcing CDC recommendations regarding COVID-19. The park is open.

Emergency Management- Emergency Operations Center Center working closely with state and federal partners.

Public Health- Public health, home care services, and emergency preparedness services continuing. Please call ahead if you plan to come to the office.

Businesses:

Barn Wired- Beginning March 18 through March 31, hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. TO GO lunch being served, coffee bar will remain open, shopping still available.

Copper Lantern- Bar closed until further notice, kitchen available for carry out.

Fogoncito Mexican Gril- Closed until further notice.

George’s- carryout and curbside delivery ONLY until further notice.

Keokuk County Bowl- All bowling leagues and open bowl canceled until further notice. Food is available for carry out only.

Keota Library- Closed until further notice

MidWestOne Bank- Lobby closed to public until further notice.

Pizza Ranch- Drive-thru and delivery ONLY until further notice.

Sigourney Café- Closed until March 31, carry-out starting March 18.

Sigourney Public Library- Library is closed to public, pick up available, call for details.

Southeast Iowa Multi-County Solid Waste Agency- Closed to the general public until April 13. Open to commerical waste haulers only. Closed to EVERYONE on Saturdays.

What Cheer Lions- Bingo is canceled until further notice.

What Cheer Opera House- The March 29, 2020  concert by the What Cheer Winds band at the What Cheer, Iowa Opera House has been cancelled, due to the coronavirus.
