Bears Sweep Eagles in Conference Volleyball Matchup

KEOTA—On September 23, the Keota Eagles hosted the English Valleys Bears for a SICL matchup. The Bears bested the Eagles in three sets by scores of 25-23, 25-22 and 25-14.

The Keota offense was initiated by senior Grace Conger, who tallied a team high 10 assists.

On the other side of the set, junior Kennedy Jackson led the team with five kills. Sophomore Emily Conger also had four kills of her own.

Senior Kimberly Clarahan clobber three aces for the Eagles.

For the Bears, sophomore Hayden Bender played the main facilitator with 17 assist on the day. 

On the other side of the set, sophomore Ava Gehrking had eight kills and freshman Olivia Debevec also tallied seven of her own.   

The Eagles fall to 2-5 on the season, and will return to action on September 26, when they visit the Belle Plaine Plainsmen.

The Bears push to 4-10 on the season, and will return to action on September
