BGM Hosts Cross Country Meet

BROOKLYN—On September 23, the BGM Bears hosted a cross country invitational and the Sigourney Savages and English Valleys Bears participated.

English Valleys girls took home first place as a team with an aggregate score of 27.

The Bears were led by Anna Luers, who bursted her way to first place. The Bears then had five runners place back to back in fifth to ninth: Addison Achenbach-5th, Kaylee Frazier-6th, Aubrey Achenbach-7th, Kaylynn Caster-8th and Kailor Lown-9th.

The English Valleys boys were once again led by senior Gage Heyne, who cruised to a first place finish. Heyne finished with over a minute lead on second place.

Issac Frazier found himself with a fourth place finish, while Evan Hoehn earned ninth.

For the Sigourney Savages, three of their four female athletes earned top five finishes: Addison Yates placed second, Brynn Clarahan earned third and Ellie Yates yielded fourth place.

The final Savage runner, Cloee Wilson, earned a top 15 finished, as she crossed the finish line in 14th.

For the Sigourney boys, senior Troy Klett cleared a second place finished, and etched out BGM’s Grady Dieleman by 12.2 seconds.

Levi Meyers earned a top 15 finish, as she was the 12th runner to cross the finish line. Jordan Anderson finished in 22nd, while Isaac Jones placed 25th.
