SIGOURNEYLouisa-Muscatine flew down the court with ease last Thursday multiple times, jumping out to a 10-2 lead after the first quarter.

“We didn’t play well in any phase of the game tonight unfortunately, we could never get going tonight,” Coach Eslick said.

Brock Halleran was back in the mix of things and finished with three points, five rebounds and three blocks.

Since Jan. 5, the Savages have played nine games going 7-2 including a 70-57 win at English Valleys on Jan. 22.

“Tough on the kids to play so many games that many nights, we’re a little worn down right now,” Coach Eslick says of the stretch of games.

This January gauntlet isn’t getting easier as Sigourney was scheduled to have three games this week.

“It’s tough to make adjustments due to not having practice, but it is what it is, we’re happy to be playing,” Coach Eslick said.
