It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

All around Keokuk County, the towns are setting up to celebrate the holidays.

In Keota you’ll see a new display across from City hall. The green space was donated to the City of Keota by Fr. Tim Regan in 2019. The tree was cut down and brought to town by city employees. The lights and the lighted decorations were from the Marvin Sieren Memorial, generously donated by his family. The ornaments were all donated by Diana Mather, Tina Schmitt, Libertyville Savings Bank, and the Keota Pool Advocates. Keota city clerk, Tomisha Hammes, shares “We started to get the word out about this project about a month ago and the donations just started coming in. It speaks volumes to the wonderful community that we call home here in Keota”.
