KEOTA – Keota Elementary received a Trees for Kids Grant from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, which was used to plant 11 trees around the school. Each tree was planted by a different elementary school class.

“It’s just a really neat experience for our kids,” said Elementary Principal Seth Milledge. “Not every kid here has planted a tree, so getting to be a part of that process and this experience with kids is awesome. It’s just a really neat thing to help beautify our school grounds here, and just a neat learning experience for our kids.”
