Local Schools Send Off Runners to State XC

At Sigourney, Coach Saatz hyped up the crowd by sharing Mason’s adversity of being ranked number 13th going into the qualifier and finishing in the top ten to qualify for his third State appearance.
Coach Saatz kept the energy going for the Sigourney senior by trying to find the loudest student to have an exclusive Mason Moore signed State XC t-shirt.
 
At English Valleys, their pep rally was held outside in front of the school. Some students in their trucks revved their engines and local first responders were sounding their sirens in support of Grove.
 
Coach Caster shared “last Thursday he qualified for State in one of the fastest districts in the State. We’re excited to have one of the fastest runners in the state at our school.”
 
On Oct. 30, Pekin had their sendoff for their boy’s and girl’s teams by getting signs and pom poms for the bus that was passing by the highway junction of 78 and 149.
