Mark Eugene Stull

Mark Eugene Stull of Webster passed away July 18, 2023 at the Keokuk County Hospital. Mark was born February 20, 1951 to Melvin & June Dorsey Stull. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1969.

After high school he began working at Kingsberry Homes until they closed in 1980. In 1973 he met his best friend and love of his life Susan Icenbice. They were then married September 13, 1974 at Lancaster Christian Church. Several years later they welcomed their only daughter Amanda. In the early 1980s Mark began to work at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics as a custodian until 2007 where he took early retirement due to a decline in health. Mark was one of the nicest, friendly people and would offer help to anyone if he could, no one was a stranger to him. (Seriously, do you know how many times Susan & Amanda found him talking a strangers ear off while shopping or out to eat at restaurant…often!) In his spare time, he helped on the family farm and remodeled the vision he had for his and Susan’s home in Webster. He loved spending time with his family and sharing stories and words of wisdom with his grandkids. He never turned down a good dessert or snack, ice cream and pie were some of his favorites. Mark is survived by his wife Susan; daughter Amanda (Randall) Nettles of Delta, grandchildren Daelin and Keira; and his brother Martin “Brick” Stull of Sigourney. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and June Stull, Betty Stull (stepmother). Burial will be at Sorden Cemetery, Webster at a later date. A celebration of life service will be held at Mark & Susans’ home in September with details to be announced. The family would like to thank Essence of Life hospice for their excellent care to Mark in his final months.
