Motorcycle Honoring Fallen Soldiers Wins Sigourney Car Show

SIGOURNEY – The eighth annual SADC Car Show was held on July 15, with 138 different vehicles being displayed around the Sigourney Square. The Best of Show Award was given to Cedric Dobbins for his 2015 Harley Davidson Street Glide tribute bike. Dobbins’s bike was previously owned by his father, an Iraq War veteran who passed away two years ago. The motorcycle was emblazoned with 20 stars, each containing the name of one of a friend of Dobbins’s father who died overseas. Dobbins was also awarded the Best Motorcycle Award.

Other winners include: Best Custom Car- Phil Hundling with a 1941 Willys Coupe; Best Ford- Rick Stevens with a 1957 Ford Revell Wagon; Best Mopar- Dave Glick with a 1972 Dodge Challenger; Best Tractor- Dawson Webster with a 1952 John Deere MT; Best Truck- Joe and Tom Clawson; Best Golf Cart- Chris Baumert; Best Rat Rod- Rick Krueger with a 1955 Dodge D250; Best Chevy- Kenneth Ball with a 1955 Chevy Bel Air; and Best Studebaker- David Marholts with a 1951 Studebaker PU.

Other top 15 finishers include: Sam and Barbara Saffell with a 1970 Ford Torino Cobra, Richard Petty Special; Lee Schulte with a 1955 Chevy 210; Kevin Molyneux with a 1969 Chevrolet C10; Chris Parrish with a 1950 Cadillac Convertible; Connie Burke with a 1933 Buick 57 Series; Tony Pitsch with a 1962 Chevy Impala; Greg Ehret with a 1933 Ford Coupe; Kim Barthelman with a 1937 Chevy Truck; Scott Baxter with a 1930 Ford Model A; Brad Miller with a 1954 GMC Truck; Larry and Ruth Kuiper with a 1958 Chevy Impala; and Keith Dietrich with a 1959 Chevy Apache.
