News-Review awarded at INA

The Iowa Newspaper Association 2020 Awards ceremony was virtually hosted on Thursday, Feb. 11. The News-Review was pleased to see they won multiple awards, including: first place in Coverage of Government and Politics by Charlie Comfort and Emily Griffioen; First place in Editorial- Best use of Graphics by Jared Larson and Emily Griffioen; second place in Best Ad featuring miscellaneous by Katie Phillips and Emily Griffioen; second place in Editorial- Best Headline Writing; second place in Best Sports Section by Jackson Kane, Zoë Larson, Emily Griffioen and Ana Olsthoorn and third place in Best Use of Social Media for the Digital Game Programs with QR Codes. An idea pitched by Sports Editor, Jared Larson.
