Pekin School Board Remains District Based

A special election was held for the Pekin School District on Sept. 10, where voters were asked if they would like to change Pekin from having five district elected school board members and two at-large members to having all seven school board seats be at-large. The special election measure failed, with 240 No votes to 130 Yes votes.
