The Pekin girls wrestling team is once again led by 2023 state qualifier Lila Miller. Miller is now a sophomore and has pushed to a 16-1 record on the season.

Miller’s only loss on the season came in the championship round of the Bill Rex invitational. This was the only tournament that she participated in, and did not take home first place in the 140 weight class. Her other first place finishes came at the BGM Invitational, the Belle Plaine Invitational, the Riverside Invitational and the Chariton Invitational.

Sophomore Hailey Pedrick has started her season with a scintillating record of 13-4. Pedrick took home first place in the 135 weight class in three tournaments: the BGM Invitational, the Bill Rex Invitational and the Chariton Invitational. She also took home the silver in the 135 weight class in the Belle Plaine Invitational and the EBF Invitational.

For the boys, sophomore Reed Lauderman leads the team with a record of 10-7. Lauderman took home fourth place in the 113 weight class at the Bill Rex Invitational.
