Rita Mae Reasor, 65

  Rita Mae Reasor, 65, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington following a lengthy battle with cancer.  Rita Mae (Shearon) Reasor was born March 2, 1959 in Missouri, the daughter of Everett and Zettia (Miller) Shearon. She attended Higbee High School in Higbee, Missouri. Rita married Lynn Avery Reasor on November 24, 1980 in Sigourney, Iowa. Rita spent most of her life in Sigourney as a dedicated homemaker. She was an active member of Marion Avenue Baptist Church, where she worked in the children’s ministry. Known for her generous spirit, Rita also ran the Gracious Giving Store in Sigourney helping those in need.
  She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Reasor of Douds, Iowa and Mindy Reasor of Washington, Iowa; granddaughter, Jolena Reasor; two grandsons, Ryan and Nicholas Frodsham; great-grandson Oliver Frodsham; brother, Kenny Shearon of Brighton, Iowa; brother, John Shearon of Brighton, Iowa; sister Donna Wickenkamp and husband Dean of Brighton, Iowa; and sister, Julie Palmer and husband Steve of Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
  Rita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lynn Reasor on April 5, 2023; son, Robert Joseph Reasor; grandson, Trevor Frodsham; sister, Kathy Heaston; sister, Debbie Shearon; and her infant brother, Russell Eugene Shearon.
 Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment will take place at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sigourney.  Memorials have been established with Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House of West Burlington.
