Savages Secure Conference Win Over Iowa Valley

SIGOURNEY—On September 26, the Sigourney Savages hosted the Iowa Valley Tigers for SICL matchup. The Savages secured the home conference win in five sets by scores of 21-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-12 and 15-12.

Sigourney senior Taylor Rozenboom put on a show for the home crowd with a team high 24 assists, and 4.8 per set.

On the other side of the set, senior Josephine Moore mashed an astonishing 25 kills! Moore also added 15 digs in her defensive effort.

Sophomore Bailey Gretter set the tone defensively with 19 digs. Senior Dani Aller added 18 dig of her own as the libero.

The Savages finish the week with a record of 10-3. They sit in second place in the SICL-East with a conference record of 2-1. Their one loss came to Belle Plaine, who sits atop the East with a perfect conference record of 5-0.
