Savages Secure First at English Valleys Tournament

NORTH ENGLISH—On September 7, the English Valleys Bears hosted a volleyball tournament. The Sigourney Savages took home the hardware.

The Savages started things off with a 2-0 sweeps of Collins-Maxwell and WACO in pool play.

They then moved past the Winfield-Mt Union in the championship matchup. 

In the championship match, senior Taylor Rozenboom put on a show as a setter with 14 total assists.

On the other side of the set, Josephine Moore and Reagan Clarahan combined for 15 total kills. Moore led the team with nine total, while Clarahan clobbered six.

The English Valleys Bears started their tournament with a 2-0 sweep over the Cardinal Comets. 

They then moved past West Marshall in three sets, despite dropping the first set.

They fell to the Winfield-Mt Union Wolves with a chance to make the championship match and lost to the Hillcrest Ravens in the third place match.
