Sigourney Falls to Cardinal Again

SIGOURNEY-On June 8, the Sigourney Savages hosted the Cardinal Comets for a non-conference matchup, and a chance to avenge their one loss on the season. The Savages fell to the Cardinals once again, this time by a final score of 2-0.

Carly Goodwin gave up two runs, only one was earned, in the first inning. She then locked in by finishing her day with seven innings pitched, one earned run on five hits and 15 strikeouts.

The Savage offense was held to only two hits on the day. One from Rain Barthelman, while Kenzi VanDenHueval knocked in the other.

The Savages fall to 9-2 on the season, and will return to action on June 9, when they host the BGM Bears.
