Sigourney Schools Approves $7,500,000 in Infrastructure Bonds

SIGOURNEY – During a special board meeting on May 31, the Sigourney School Board unanimously approved issuing approximately $7,500,000 School Infrastructure Sales, Services and Use Tax Revenue Bonds. This money will be used to remodel, repair, and improve the existing elementary school building, including mechanical, plumbing, water, heating and ventilation systems improvements. Any bond proceeds remaining after completion of this project will be used for other school infrastructure projects as authorized by the School District's Revenue Purpose Statement.
