KEOTA—On April 8, the Keota Eagles and the Sigourney Savages started their boys golf season after weather delays prolonged the start over a week. The Eagles hosted the Savages, the HLV Warriors and the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks for a quadrangular.

The Savages took home first in the meet with an aggregate score of 168, while the Eagles finished in third with a team score of 177.

Sigoureny Solon Yates finished as the medalist on the day with the low score of 37 in nine holes played.

On top of the best score, the Savages had two more athletes in the top five of scores: Cain Weber with a 42 and Josh Wyatt with a 43.

To round out the top five golfers for Sigourney, Ike Molyneux finished his day with a 46, while Isaac Bruns tallied a score of 49.

The Eagles had four seniors finish their days with a 43: Tanner Waterhouse, Cole Kindred and Sawyer Stout.

For the other two golfers for the Eagles, Brennan McGuire and Billie Kindred scored a 49 in their nine holes played.

The Savages will return to action quickly, as they host the HLV Warriors on April 9 for their first home meet.

The Eagles return to action on April 10, when they host their 18 hole invitational.
