Last Thursday, Jan. 14, Sigourney beat Columbus 71-36. Ethan Shifflett had 20 points, Levi Crawford and Josh Mohr each had 15 points each.

“I think we were getting good shots too and we were unselfish and just just an overall really good performance,” Coach Eslick said of the team’s product on the floor.

Without Brock Halleran, Sigourney’s look had to be different defensively.

“We wanted to play a little more zone to protect our guys inside a little bit. We still wanted to pressure the ball and turn them over but not be playing man to man when we're doing it,” Eslick explained.

Sigourney’s offensive output can’t be pinned on one guy, as they have many good shooters on the team.

“When we have, four or five, six, even seven guys who can hurt you. It makes a team pretty hard to guard you can't really key on one guy,” Eslick said.
