Supervisors Receive Update on Pavilion Project

SIGOURNEY – During the Dec. 16 meeting of the Keokuk County Board of Supervisors, the board spoke with Stuart Grossman of Kiwanis about the pavilion project. Grossman stated that Kiwanis had raised roughly $160,000 for the project, but were acting cautious and not purchasing the kit for the pavilion until plans were finalized. He stated that they had gone back to contractors and the architect to take a closer look at the project and iron out issues. He stated construction was tentatively planned to begin in the spring of next year and that Kiwanis was hoping work would be done by the Fourth of July.
