1965-2023

Terri Ann Huffman, 58, of rural Sigourney, died October 12, 2023 at home.

She was born August 20, 1965 in Ottumwa to LaVerne and Gaylene Van Rycke Payne. Terri married Richard “Rick” Huffman on October 2, 1984 in Las Vegas, NV.

Terri was a 1983 graduate of Cardinal High School. She had worked at Keoco Auction in Sigourney, was office manager for over 20 years for Washington County Mini Bus and co-owned and operated Huffman Racing Stables.

She enjoyed fishing, shopping, spending time in Florida and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband, Rick; their daughters, Shelby (Tevin) Mendenhall and Amanda Johnson both of Sigourney; 4 grandchildren, Kayveonna and Javyn Johnson, Braxtyn and Kazdyn Mendenhall; her twin sister, Sherri Lynn Greiner of Agency; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, C.D. and Carol Huffman of Sigourney; sisters-in-law, Beverly McDowell of Sigourney and Brenda (Dennis) Lovetinsky of West Branch; and her dog, Brooklyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her body has been cremated. A service to celebrate her life was held Monday, October 16 th at Reece Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the family for a bench to be placed at the What Cheer Fairgrounds.
