SIGOURNEY – It took just over 5 minutes and 40 seconds into the first quarter until Kaylee Weber not only put Sigourney ahead of Keota 7-6, but scored her thousandth career point on Feb. 2 on Senior Night.

Weber has a favorite basket of her 421 made baskets, coming her sophomore year.

“Sophomore year at Substate, I got an and-one on Dylan Holland, I made the free throw and tied us going into halftime,” Weber said.

Kaylee and her teammates combined to win by 39 over the Keota Eagles, winning 59 to 20 with Weber herself contributing 22 of the 59 points.

“I just want to thank my teammates a lot past and present. Anybody in the future programs. I hope they work as hard trying to get that goal (of a thousand points),” Weber said.

With the win, the Sigourney Savages clinched their fifth straight SICL-East title.
