What Cheer Man Charged with Attempting to Entice a Minor

WHAT CHEER – Skyler Adam Hartwig, a 28-year-old man living in What Cheer, was arrested on two counts of Telephone Dissemination of Obscene Material to Minor Child and two counts of Attempt to Entice a Minor Under 16 Years Old, both aggravated misdemeanors. According to the police, Hartwig began communicating with a girl he believed to be under the age of sixteen in May of 2024. He began asking her to meet with him, suggesting she sneak him into her house to spend the night. Over several weeks he allegedly talked about sex acts he would like to the girl. Hartwig sent a sexually explicit photo and video to the girl and encouraged her to travel to him to engage in sex acts with him and another man. He is currently being held in the Johnson County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
