The athlete of the week for the week is Issac Bruns of the Sigourney Savages baseball team.
Bruns blasted a three run homer in the top of the fifth inning to jolt the Savages past the #2 ranked Burlington Notre Dame Nikes, and secured Sigourney’s first state tournament in program history.
The News-Review would like to congratulate Sigourney’s Issac Bruns on a spectacular week of play.
