Lynnville-Sully Hosts Cross Country Invitational

LYNNVILLE—On September 19, the Sigourney Savages and Pekin Panthers cross country teams made the trip to Lynnville for the 2024 Lynnville-Sully Invitational. Both Pekin teams earned third place finishes.

For the Panthers boys team, Cole Milikin made his mark with a first place finish. 

Mason Dahlstrom also earned a fourth place finish in his race, while Lane Fariss placed 12th.

The rest of the Panthers finished as follows: 30th Sam Hall, 59th Brody Sobaski, 93rd Dylan Sobaski and 129th Conor Cloyd.

The Pekin girls team was led by senior Chloe Glosser, who glided her way to a first place finish. 

Maddy Petrehn also earned a Top 15 finish, as she placed 12th. 

The rest of the Panthers finished as follows: 25th Abby Guise, 42nd Brinley Phillips, 62nd Renae Eubanks and 86th Callie Deutchle.

Sigourney’s Troy Klett was once again the first Savage to cross the finish line, as he earned himself a seventh place finish.

The Sigourney Savages had three athletes earn Top 10 finishes. Addison Yates led the charge in 5th with Brynn Clarahan right behind in sixth. Ellie Yates was not far behind, as she ended her race in seventh.
