SIGOURNEY – During the Oct. 21 meeting of the Keokuk County Board of Supervisors, Supervisor Mike Hadley stated that Wapello County, who he had been discussing creating a 28e Agreement for Emergency Management services with, had told him they didn’t want to share Emergency Management services due to it being a full time job and the distance to Keokuk County. Hadley stated that Washington and Mahaska Counties had also said no. He stated the county was now looking to hire a new Emergency Management and Public Health director, to replace Jorie Altenhofen, whose letter of resignation was accepted last week.
