Athlete of the Week: Ava Fineran

The athlete of the week for the week of July 22 is Ava Fineran of the Sigourney Savages softball team.

Fineran played the hero in the Class 1A State Championship game, as she knocked in two runners with two outs and two strikes in the Savages’ final offensive stand.

The senior also earned All-Tournament honors as a center fielder.
