The athlete of the week for the week of July 1 is Cole McKay of the Sigourney Savages baseball team.

McKay put together an impressive performance in the 18-0 win over English Valleys in the first round of the baseball playoffs. He finished his night with four hits in four batting appearances, three singles, one double and four runs batted in.

McKay also scored three runs on the night. He is in the nine spot for the Savages, a spot known for scoring runs. His 34 runs scored is the third most in the SICL conference.
